Dr. Dennis is literally the best Chiropractor in Mount Pleasant! I have suffered from shoulder pain for the last 15 years and the pain has gradually gotten worse over time. I was skeptical about chiropractic treatment as I had gone once before and it really didn't help. Then, I came down with sciatic nerve pain. After a couple of months it just kept getting worse. My wife insisted I go see Dr. Dennis. The pain was so bad I was willing to give it a try. Dr. Dennis took time to listen to what was going on and then came up with a plan of action. I've tried several chiropractors in Mount Pleasant before finally being lucky enough to stumble upon Dr. Dennis Hupka and Beyond Wellness Chiropractic. All of the other places in Mount Pleasant seem to fall under the category of what I call "crack factories". They will get you in quickly, crack your back and neck a couple of times, and see you out within 5 minutes with barely a hello. The business models of these practices seem more into volume and generalized treatments rather than individualized care. Dr. Hupka however, spent over an hour with me on my very first visit to walk me through his treatment philosophy, took x-rays to pinpoint areas that need treatment, set realistic expectations for what levels of improvement are possible, and then put together a customized treatment plan to improve function in the troubled areas. Every visit is met with a consultation, conversation, and highly localized treatment rather than a quick cracking and see you next time. I've been seeing Dr. Hupka 2-3 times a week for the last month and already notice that my neck rotation is nearing full-motion and that my injured lower back can sustain longer periods of sitting and physical activity. While I still have a ways to go in my treatment plan, I rest easy in the knowledge that Dr. Hupka and Beyond Wellness Chiropractic of Mount Pleasant is the best place for myself, andanyone else, looking for real chiropractic care.

Had moderate to sometimes severe pain from my right hip down to my right knee, from the right knee down the right side of my right lower leg to above my right foot. I actually thought I was going to have to have hip and knee surgery. This was after two back surgeries. Dr. Hupka used a technique that stretched the vertebrae between the L4 and L5 and L5 and the tailbone areas which were causing the pain. Later that after noon I almost broke 40 on the front nine at Stono Ferry. I noticed significant pain loss and my agility was much improved. I even drove the ball 220 yards which I can usually only drive it 200. I am very impressed and will continue treatment at Beyond Wellness located in Mount Pleasant, SC
