Your first visit is designed to be thorough, clear, and no-pressure. We’ll take the time to understand what’s going on,
explain what we find, and outline the best next steps—so you know exactly what to expect.
- Health history & goals — what’s bothering you, what makes it better/worse, and what you want to achieve.
- Orthopedic & neurologic screening (as needed) — to help identify the source of your symptoms.
- Posture evaluation — how daily positions may be contributing to pain or recurring issues.
- Muscle & joint palpation — checking areas of tightness, tenderness, and joint motion.
- Range of motion testing — assessing movement limitations and patterning.
- X-rays if clinically indicated — ordered when they are appropriate for your case (not automatically).
- Clear explanation — what we found, what it likely means, and your options.
- Care plan recommendations — a practical plan tailored to your goals, schedule, and condition.
What Your Appointment Looks Like
Step 1 — Intake & conversation
We start by listening. We’ll review your health history, discuss your symptoms, and talk through your goals—so your care
is based on your real life, not a cookie-cutter template.
Step 2 — Exam & functional testing
Next, we perform a chiropractic exam that may include posture assessment, range-of-motion testing, orthopedic/neurologic
checks (as appropriate), and palpation of muscles and joints to pinpoint the likely drivers of your pain or dysfunction.
Step 3 — Imaging (only if needed)
If X-rays are clinically indicated, we’ll explain why and what we’re looking for. If they’re not needed, we won’t recommend them.
Step 4 — Findings & next steps
You’ll get a straightforward explanation of what we found, what it means, and what your best options are. If chiropractic
care is appropriate, we’ll outline a plan. If you need a different provider, we’ll tell you that too.
