The modern birth process, even under routine conditions, is frequently the first cause of vertebral subluxation. Due to the structure of the infant’s spine, spinal stretching from the birth process is more likely to result in spinal cord trauma with nerve interference than in damage to the vertebral segments and soft tissue.

We frequently see newborns and children with what is considered a mild condition by the medical doctor, such as reflux, colic, fussiness, torticollis, etc. We take the time to examine your child and explain that while we do help children with these conditions, I do NOT treat these conditions.
I explain what we do here in the office. I detect and correct subluxation. A subluxation causes interference in your child’s nervous system. When the nervous system is not functioning optimally all these conditions with your newborn can present themselves. When we correct the subluxation(s) the nervous system can restore normal function and many times the issues resolve.
Chiropractors are trained to detect and correct subluxation and pain is not needed for a subluxation to be present. I have been helping babies since 2003 and have had very good results. I take the time to explain before I check your child exactly what I am going to do, and will only check and adjust your baby when you are fully comfortable with the exam and adjustment.
